I’m in the best of moods right now. Good night sleep, relaxing with the family in Bakersfield, and even getting some reading done. We arrived here yesterday evening, hardly any traffic, and were greeted by a dancing snowman and snowlady in our room.
We had some delicious vegetable soup, a couple glasses of wine, and a hilarious game of Apples to Apples. Needless to say, we learned some
interesting hilariously disturbing things about each other.
My mom-in-law, Linda, is so good at making the house feel cozy and welcoming. Example – there is a little decorated Christmas tree in each bedroom. The best part is that all of us are all together, just spending quality time, and enjoying each others company. And I am drinking lots of tea.
Eric and his brothers and sister have Christmas stockings, so last night, Linda suggested I make to a stocking for myself. Stockings were not a tradition in our family, so I was pleased when Eric stepped up to the challenge and made a beautiful stocking for me. I’m sure you already heard about my love for owls this year, so he made me an owl stocking. He got really creative with it.
I added red glitter to the owl’s Christmas hat and white glitter on the tree branches to make it look like snow. Other than that, it was all Eric. My new stocking makes me happy.
I wish you all very Merry Christmas Eve.
